JBJ Soul Kitchen
After seeing an article about JBJ Soul Kitchen in Laura Madsen’s Lady In Red blog, I had to feature this community restaurant as a featured organization because I love the concept of this restaurant creation from Jon Bon Jovi and his wife.
The JBJ Soul Kitchen is a non-profit community restaurant. There are no prices on the menu, customers donate to pay for their meal, and if they are unable to do so they can volunteer their time as payment.
Personally, I think every city in the world should have one cause it’s a great means to spread goodwill to the community, setting a good example to children and bringing communities of people together for a great cause in ensuring that everyone can eat. There are no prices on the menu as people just make whatever donations they can, and if it’s not possible they can volunteer at the restaurant in exchange for a meal.
Laura Madsen experienced this restaurant first-hand, so you can hear all about her visit by going here.
